India is known for many languages ,culture ,religious harmony and festivals . From kashmir to kanyakumari there are diverse food and attire .Today i visited one of the market called 'New Market' which is located in central Kolkata.
The market was looking little crowded where people were busy doing shoping for upcoming festivals Durga puja and Kali puja .These two festival are one of the major in west bengal .Non resident Indians around the world comes to their motherland India for big celebration .Kolkata is one of the city which is more famous with so called 'The city of joy' .
People here from different religion lives together with great harmony .
The picture in thumbnail is taken from New Market where these buildings were constructed during the British rule in 1700.
Actually most of the architecture in central Kolkata are built during the time of britishers .That time India was united with Bangladesh ,Pakistan.
New Market is highly populated area where people mostly seen for shoping and business purpose.
I have never had a ride with this oldest way of transportation ..yes it still exist in Kolkata .We all living in 21st Century but these hand rickshaw are still in trend .Usually pay 50-100 rupees ($0.70 to $1.20) for riding .Now a days because of covid ,These people look quite jobless because people prefer to ride through electronic transport like bike , e-scooter or cab.
During my Visit New Market , The weather was very cloudy and Rain was happening soon.In Kolkata Rainy Season is quite longer which start from month of September and end until December.The benefit of rain in Bengal is farmers cultivate different variety of rice which help Bengal to produce 38% of rice of whole country.
I had big challenge to pass this street path because many shops where just built on road and hardly people can walk through this path But you can see the yellow taxi still struggling to run .
This is iconic New Market Mall which is slightly Under renovation from outer side. If you want cheap in price and little better in quality then no wonder if you go to new market and buy your stuff.
I found the place little messy as lot of hanging wires there which could lead to some bad happen to anyone over there .
The market was offering Good discount till 50% off on Garments and edible products .I went to one of shop there and bought nice pair of jeans and tshirt and the price was unbelievable on discounted rate .
There were many shops on foot path area where cheap quality of watches available in just $2-3.00 .I guessed these watch might be from china and inferior in quality .
This is good place to buy those handy bags .It was not branded like Gucci , Armani or Darveys but something cheaper which can be used for daily lifestyle.
These are Golden bangles much favourite among house ladies . The guy is smart seller who just selling these eye catcher product which can direct target to women.
If you want to be blind then sure you can buy those sunglasses.😊 I basically avoid buying any product related your sensitive part of your body.
These are metal jewellery which is quite popular among ladies here.People wear these item more often than wearing gold and diamond because it is risk free and use and throw product with very shiny look.
Sreeleathers is one of the reliable and quality assurance brand in Kolkata. people actually looking for something more good in price value and i think these brand is quite suitable for them which offer different design and variety of shoes and sleepers for male and female.

These are alive product banners promoting their products so actively in the crowd . I predicted that it would be something related about price discount if buy those products.
Drinking young coconut is the best way to hydrate your body .In Kolkata you may find every corner of the street these coconut water which is very healthy for your body .
This is rice made deep fried items cooked simply on stove in refined oil .I have never eaten this but the way it cooked ,must be crispy and crunchy.
This is called Chat Masala which is basically made with chick peas and peas .It is local food basically eaten in the evening as snacks .it taste little spicy and sour because of tamarind power added.
Phuckha is one of the favourite snacks which i love to eat .it is also popular in Kolkata among ladies and gents .
Kulfi is little similar to icecream but taste-wise more delicious .it is made with fresh creamy milk with added fruits crushed.
This guy is selling Jhal Muri which is also favourite snacks over here .it simply made with rice and potatoes with added cuts of seasonal vegetables and spices.
